Hi, we are Jon and Andrea.

We are the founders of Augment and we're passionate about helping construction and trade business owners meet their financial and personal goals.

Why the name Augment?
We chose our name for a reason. We believe that the very definition of augment captures our approach perfectly. We're not just another accounting firm churning out VAT/tax returns and accounts; we strive to enhance and amplify your success.

Why construction and trade businesses?

It's because we know we can make a huge positive impact. The fact it's a complicated and challenging industry makes it both interesting and highly rewarding for us. It feels great when we help our clients succeed!

Our mission when we founded Augment was to revolutionise how construction and trade businesses handle their finances. We know the common hurdles you encounter, from navigating the peaks and troughs nature of project work, juggling cash flow and tracking job specific costs, to handling variations and trying to make a profit at the end of it all.

Using our expertise and experience as chartered accountants we're able to help you overcome these hurdles and make it all worthwhile.

A little more about us

Jon graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a first-class degree in Accounting and Finance before joining PwC where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Jon left PwC to work for a small accountancy practice for over 7 years, progressing to Director in 2021 before leaving to join Augment. Jon also sits on the executive board of Construction Isle of Man, a public-private partnership tasked with ensuring the Isle of Man construction industry sustains and thrives.

Andrea's career in accountancy began after graduating with a degree in Business from Lancaster University when she secured a graduate role at PwC. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC before working for several years at a listed property investment company. Since then she has worked within a small accountancy practice gaining valuable experience assisting a variety of clients.

We are parents to 2 energetic boys, a pony and 2 cats. We feel lucky to call the Isle of Man our home, where we are never far away from a beach, peaceful glen or stunning nature walk to enjoy with our family - and Jon is never far from a golf course.
