Hi, we are Jon and Andrea.

We’re the founders of Augment and qualified Chartered Accountants with a shared goal: helping ambitious businesses thrive through smarter financial decision-making.

With over 30 years’ combined experience, we bring clarity, structure and strategic insight to the finance function — working in partnership with business owners to streamline operations, improve profit margins and support long-term growth.

Why the name Augment?
We chose the name because it reflects exactly what we do: to increase, enhance or improve.

We’re not here to simply keep your books in order or file your tax returns. We’re here to elevate your business through strategic support, financial systems that scale and insight that helps you move forward with confidence.

We created Augment because we saw too many businesses getting the bare minimum — accounts delivered months after year-end, with no real support in between. We believe you deserve more.

A Little More About Us

Jon earned a first-class degree in Accounting and Finance before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PwC. After leading a small accountancy practice as a Director, he co-founded Augment to offer something better — strategic financial support that goes beyond compliance and genuinely helps businesses grow. He’s obsessed with making things work at their best, constantly analysing and improving how businesses operate. Jon’s strength lies in translating complex numbers and technical jargon into clear, practical advice that business owners can actually use.

Andrea also trained with PwC before moving to a listed property investment firm, where she oversaw the group’s financial reporting and consolidation. Later, she supported a diverse client base in practice and brings deep technical knowledge with a practical, commercial mindset. At Augment, Andrea is the go-to for technical precision and problem solving. Her ability to spot the detail others miss and get to the root of complex issues is second to none — making her a trusted sounding board for clients navigating challenges and change.

Together, we work closely with a small portfolio of clients, becoming a true extension of their team.

Beyond the Numbers...
We're parents to two energetic boys, a pony and two cats. When we’re not streamlining businesses, you’ll probably find us walking one of the Island’s beautiful beaches or glens. Or in Jon’s case, turning a round of golf into a scenic island tour — one slice at a time!
